ABACUS

The Abacus system, which is integrated into the curriculum at Omega, is a well researched method and based on experience and scientific findings. It is primarily a model to promote thinking and brain development, to develop flexible thinking, visualisation and hands on application. In addition, children develop outstanding skills in mental arithmetic and become proficient in the ancient skill of using an abacus to solve complex problems.

Abacus classes run daily for children of the primary classes and are run by an especially trained member of our faculty. In addition each child is issued with their own abacus for practice at home.
