MATHEMATICS

At Omega, we have a comprehensive Mathematics programme, and strive for the highest standards of mathematical ability. Students are expected to study hard to achieve their goals. In addition to classroom teaching, we have a well equipped Mathematics laboratory.

The Maths lab provides opportunities for the students to understand and internalise the basic mathematical concepts through concrete objects and situations. For example, they can verify and discover several geometrical properties and facts using models or by paper cutting and folding techniques. They build interest and confidence in their learning and are encouraged to think and to articulate their learning through discussion with others. By using the Maths lab, students have greater scope for individual participation in the process of learning and for becoming autonomous learners.
