CURRICULUM
Lalaji Memorial Omega International School, Cambridge International Centre, is affiliated to the University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE), UK.
Study as part of the Cambridge Stream at LMOIS is interactive and thought provoking. Progress is assessed by internationally recognised Primary Progression Tests (CIPP), Checkpoint, IGCSE, As and A Level examinations to ensure quality throughout the learning process.
The course of study focuses on development of knowledge, skills and understanding in a context of “hands-on” learning, problem solving, team work, creativity and using and applying knowledge gained to new and unexpected situations.
Students from all over the globe benefit from an environment of cutting edge technology and small class sizes. Activities are varied to develop a range of transferable skills and support all learners and include designing, carrying out and evaluating their own experiments in the science labs, field trips, developing and leading presentations to the public, web design and computer programming, citizenship training and social education, collaborative projects with other schools and advanced use of integrated technology as part of their main curriculum.
The CIE syllabus begins with the Cambridge International Primary Programme (CIPP) from 1st to 5th Standard. In 6th Standard, students enter the Lower Secondary Programme, with an internationally benchmarked assessment called Cambridge Checkpoint at the end of 8th Standard. Later studies lead to the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE), the International Certificate of Education (ICE) in 9th and 10th Standard and Advanced subsidiary and Advanced Level qualifications in 11th and 12th Standard.
The entire curriculum is certified and backed by the University of Cambridge International Examinations, UK and qualifications are recognised at prestigious universities in India and all over the world. More information on the CIE syllabus is available at their website.
