Development of scientific skills hand in hand with scientific knowledge is emphasised in the Cambridge curriculum. While learning the laws of science, students are encouraged to design, carry out, analyse and evaluate hands on experiments to test theories using rigorous scientific methods, as well as using what they know to critically evaluate existing theories. Students learn to apply their knowledge of scientific processes to new and unexpected situations and to make and test their own theories and assumptions based on their learning, in order to help them grow and to become the scientists of the future.
