FAREWELL PARTY FOR CLASS 12
12th of February 2011

On the twelfth of February 2011, our school witnessed its first farewell party hosted by the students of Class Eleven and dedicated to the first batch of Class Twelve students of Lalaji Memorial Omega International School.

The day started with great excitement and merriment, as all the Class Twelve students dressed up to their glamorous best and arrived for the ribbon cutting ceremony: the boys looked dashing in their tuxedos and the girls, who never fail to put on a show, were draped in gorgeous saris bought for the occasion.

It was then that the Eleventh and Twelfth Standards felt the real pain of separation and grief washing over them.  They felt desperate to hold on to these last few precious moments of togetherness and tears rolled down their cheeks. The girls, with their mascara lined eyes filled with tears, forgot their worries about spoiling their outfits and clung on to each other to share their sorrow mixed with salty water. The boys tried to remain calm and composure but the atmosphere was one of mourning. Finally, the Eleventh Standard had to at last let go of the seniors, the backbone of our school, after 5 long years of living together, eating together, laughing at silly pranks and crying over bitter fights. We had to take heart and wish them all the luck and love in the world to make their fortune outside. There ended a beautiful day marked with both happiness and sorrow and lots and lots of love.
