Dormitory Rules
- Students are required to converse only in English at all times in the school campus, so as to acquire proficiency in the spoken language.
- Students must be well groomed and wear clean and well pressed uniforms during school time.
- Students are not permitted to chew gum during school hours, and are permitted to eat only during stated meal times.
- Students are not permitted to keep any cash on their person. All purchases from the canteen are through coupon only, and all other monies are to be promptly deposited into the individual bank account.
- In the event that the student has a credit card, the card may be shown to the warden, who will arrange for it to be swiped in the student's presence, before the transaction is executed.
- Students who misplace or lose any of their belongings should report the matter immediately to the Hostel Warden. Every possible effort will be made to trace the item. However, the school does not take any responsibility for recovery of the lost item.
- Students are not permitted to leave their dormitory after lights out, except with the express permission of the Warden.
Dormitory Visits
- Students may be visited by parents and by the local guardian on specified days and at specified times, as per Annexure ‘2'. These times will be made known to the parents and local guardians well in advance of the school year / term. Parents and local guardians may kindly notify the Senior Warden well in advance of the visit.
- Persons other than the parents and local guardians may visit the student ONLY with the prior written permission from the parent.
- Visitors are welcome to visit during the Annual Days and Sports Days, and during the student's birthday and other listed holidays.
- Students are NOT permitted to receive visitors at other times.
- Visitors are advised not to bring food and other items during their visits. All items intended to be given to the students must be declared to the Warden, and given with the Warden's approval only.
Away Days
- Parents and local guardians are permitted to take the student out of the dormitory on previously listed Away Days and during weekends.
- The procedure to b followed for such Away Days are as per Annexure ‘3'.
Attendance
- Students are required to have a minimum of 90 % attendance during each term.
- Attendance will be computed by taking the percentage on the number of working days during the term, and rounding off to the nearest higher integer.
- Students are required to have at least 85 % attendance for the full scholastic year, failing which they may be denied permission to write the final exam, at the discretion of the Disciplinary Committee.
- Shortfall in term attendance will be counted as a 3 de-merit offence. (See below)
