| Teacher's quote "At Omega each teacher is a ‘Facilitator' and ensures that the child loves to learn. The children are guided into basics and later into the intricacies of each subject or topic with love. In other words, at Omega, love is the foundation on which the temple of learning is built." |
A "WEB OF ACTIVITIES" is followed to lay down the objectives, content, methodology and evaluation. Planning and selecting themes for the whole year relates to the time and season, pacing out the learning in segments throughout the year.
Themes are selected to widen the understanding of the child and are inspired from the child's immediate interests and environment.
- The child's relationship with the physical environment.
- The child's relationship to self and people.
- The child's relationship with technology.
-
The child's relationship to the current issues and events.
It thus incorporates and co-ordinates all areas of learning- reading, number readiness, writing readiness, social studies, science, and creative activities related to the theme in focus. At Omega, the methodology focuses on a total learning experience.
- Activity/Project based learning.
- Technology aided learning for greater visual and auditory impact.
- Spiritual instruction to instill values.
At Omega we follow the unique method of evaluation by parents. The extent of learning and performance of kindergarten kids is evaluated by parents themselves at the end of the academic year.
