Kutumba System At Omega

Atri Kutumba Gautama Kutumba Kashyapa Kutumba Vasishta Kutumba

 

To promote cooperation, understanding, team spirit, collective belonging along with discipline among our students we organise ‘Kutumba System' usually known as "Houses" in other schools.
"Kutumbam" in Tamil and "Kutumb" in Hindi means "Family".
The main objective of this Kutumba System is to foster the value Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam: "One world, one family, one body, one spirit".

There are four Kutumbas named after four prominent sages of the 'Saptarishi Mandal' or stars of the Ursa Major constellation:  Atri, Gautama, Kashyapa, Vasishta.

All the students of classes I to XII belong to either one of these Kutumbas.
Each of the Kutumbas has been given a colour, symbol and motto.

Kutumbas assist to maintain day-to-day school activities.
Sports and games competitions are conducted among the Kutumbas.
