November 2011: Sensitivity-and-Creativity

From late November onwards at the Omega School, VBSE will be focussed on Sensitivity & Creativity. During this value, students will explore the following principles, through games, stories, dialogues and other experiential activities suitable for their age group :

  •  We develop sensitivity by developing awareness and being alert to what is happening.
  •  Sensitivity develops in the heart, and can be used to guide the mind in making wise choices.
  •  Sensitivity helps us stay focused on our goals and on what is important, and shows us when we need to correct our course.
  •  Sensitivity can be directed inwards and outwards. Inner sensitivity is important for our inner growth. We develop sensitivity in worldly life by forgetting ourselves and thinking of others.
  •  Creativity is natural. It is an expression of the same creative principle that exists throughout the universe. Observing Nature can be inspirational in guiding us to develop our own sensitivity and creativity.
  •  The origin of creativity is the heart. It is a natural expression of the divine within.
  •  We are all creative, and we can be creative in all areas of our lives.
  •  Anything that is creative must evolve, so creativity means change.
