“The highest education is that which does not merely give us information but makes our life in harmony with all existence” – Rabindranath Tagore

My career in teaching began as a pleasant coincidence rather than a deliberate choice. Once the journey commenced, there was no looking back and the ardent desire for teaching has not slackened a bit from that time on. My initial years of teaching in Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan have set the foundation in teaching and learning, encouraging me to be a life-longer learner. I furthered my career path in Omega initially as Primary Head-Mistress and later as Principal of CIS and IB segment of Omega. I am ever grateful for the wonderful opportunity as it has shaped me into the passionate educator that I am today.

In my 3 decades of experience as an educator, I have seen education taking a paradigm shift and teaching and learning undergoing a monumental transformation. Learning in the 21st century is not solely about devouring the information but acquiring the skills that foster the students to face the challenges of the ever-evolving world. While technology is making the world smaller, today’s education needs to be more inclusive, encouraging students to be more inquisitive, empathetic, compassionate and global-minded which is precisely what Omega offers its students, a holistic development.

Omega’s approach to education brings forth a plethora of programmes that raise students’ performance a few notches higher and helps them evolve. Teachers in Omega are in perfect sync with the mission and vision of the school. Their innovative teaching methodologies nurture the young minds to blossom into responsible, value-based individuals. Through a variety of Professional Development Programmes, Omega provides ample opportunities for teachers to empower and better equip them to meet the educational needs of 21st-century learners. Thus, the teaching fraternity in Omega is not only skilled and incorporate modern teaching methods but also is devoted to shaping the future leaders of the world.

“Teaching kids to count is fine, but teaching them what counts is best” – Bob Talbert.
