Another spectacular celebration at Sirius! 🎉 The Sirius English department organized varied activities to pay tribute to the ‘Bard of Avon’, William Shakespeare this April. On Shakespeare’s Day, students from grades 3 to 8, were keen to research the great playwright, poet, and dramatist, who left an indelible impact on the English language with his insurmountable contribution to the field of literature. They were fascinated by his treasure trove of verbal brilliance that had provided many expressions and nuggets of human wisdom to the English language. The array of colorful and informative charts on display, and the special performance in the assembly by the students were reminiscent of the diversity and richness of William Shakespeare's works. Amidst applauds and appreciation, it was a fantabulous performance by our ‘little Shakespeare’, recitation of the famous soliloquy and impressive presentation with a rich display of talent and dedication of the budding artists.

📚✨ On the UN World English Language Day that commemorates the legacy of the Bard William Shakespeare, the students and teachers from the Cambridge and IB streams engaged in the 'Drop Everything and Read' initiative led by the English department. As the school corridors were cloaked in silence, participants delved into literary voyages alongside characters, sharing emotions and momentarily breaking free from the monotony of every day. This immersive experience provided many with a chance to experience the joy of reading a book and the rejuvenating power of a story.
Meanwhile, students of the Cambridge Primary delved into an array of activities that promoted the joy of reading. From storytelling and role-playing to unscrambling story names and drawing characters, students enjoyed creative activities. Grade Four students wrote colorful book recommendations, while Grade Five collaborated on a thrilling story relay. The book donation drive organized by Chandrodaya Club extended the joy of reading beyond the classroom. 🌟📖🎭🎨📝📦

From the early hours, the team greeted enthusiastic student volunteers from Grade 12, joined by the spirited members of Akkas. The students from Velammal School, Kolapakkam, joined the event with contagious enthusiasm, contributing to the vibrant atmosphere of the celebration.
