My Prop, My Move (Dance)

• TOPIC – Prop Dance

• A set of songs will be given to the students

• Students can select any one song from the given set of songs

• Students may select any one prop from the given list
  (Shakers/ ribbons/ handkerchiefs)

• Students need to create their own movements and perform the dance using the chosen prop appropriately

• Send your video recording in an mp4 format to: pavedance.gr1@gmail.com

Swing N Sing (Music)

• TOPIC – Action songs

• A set of songs will be given to the students

• Students can select any one song from the given set of songs

• Students need to come up with appropriate actions for the song

• Sing the song along with the actions.

Expressive Mojo (Dramatics)

• TOPIC – Create an animal mask

• Students can select any one situation from the list mentioned below:

1. Taking a stroll happily in the streets of a city.

2. Expressing its feelings of being caged in a zoo.

3. Talking about its role in bio networking.

Folklore (Music)

• TOPIC – Folk songs

• Students can sing the folk songs in any one of the Indian regional languages

• Karaoke of the song or Shruti box may be used for the performance

Expressive Mojo (Theatre)

• TOPIC – Create a beak of any bird and wear it on your nose or create a mask of a famous personality (National leader/ scientist/ Environmentalist/ social activist) and do a monologue* (As in Biopic) [Animoji of any famous personality is allowed].

• Students can select any one situation from the list mentioned below:

1. A recently migrated bird expressing its emotions about the new place.

2. Narrate a Panchatantra tale/ a short story of a famous personality (Motivational story).

3. Share your friendship story or experience with expressions.

* Monologue – A speech presented by a single character, usually to express his/her mental thoughts aloud, though sometimes addresses directly to another character or the audience.

Dance to the beat (Dance)

• A set of songs will be given to the students

• Students can select any one song from the given set of songs

• Students need to create their own movements and perform it to the beat of the song

• Please ensure that the movements created are according the to the genre of music chosen

Tune it! (Music)

• A set of lyrics will be given

• Students can select any one lyrics and set the selected lyrics to a lilting tune.

• Students to create their own musical instruments with materials available at home

• Perform the song with the musical instrument created

Expressive Mojo (Theatre)

• Perform a puppet show using sock and stick puppets.

• Students can select any one topic from the list mentioned below:

1. 1. Create a short script/ select a story that portrays and affirms positive communication. (Speaking politely yet wittily, showing empathy in conversation.)

   2. Puppet interview that brings out the idea of global unity. [Brotherhood]

   3. Perform a short story from Jataka tales.

• PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS EVENT IS NOT A COMPETITION. THIS IS A TALENT EXPO.

• Each child is allowed to participate in ONLY ONE event.

• Please encourage children to participate in the event

• Film songs in any form are not permitted.

• Time limit: 1.30 – 1.45 minutes.

• Adhere to the given time duration/Topic/Genre for the performance

• Decent costume, appropriate make up and clear backdrop is mandatory

• Creativity will be appreciated

• For Dramatics, voice, intonations, physicality and spontaneity to be focussed on. (BGM/Sound effects – optional).

• Judges decision will be final. Disparage of the judgement is not encouraged.

• Video record your performance in Landscape format for only 1.45 min. (1.30 min. – 1.45 min.) without editing.

Appreciation and Recognition

• The best performers will be awarded E- certificates of appreciation and their videos will be presented to all the students during online sessions.

• All the participants will receive an E- Certificate of Participation
